Paul Curtis spoke to Child Care Aware to build a partnership at WayStation by setting up future life skills/parenting classes. The Lion’s Club of Pea Ridge came to WayStation to provide free eye tests/glasses vouchers for WayStation guests The November 3, 2023 Day of the Dead Seriously Fun Friday was a huge success. Table 7Three served 100 fish plates, 11 advanced directives were completed, Mariachi Joya Azteca of NW Arkansas provided music. Folkloric dancing, door prizes, and face painting were also provided. WayStation received a 14 passenger van thanks to grants provided by the Church of Latter Day Saints and the Excellerate Foundation. It is primarily used to transport guests to and from the Bentonville Salvation Army. This provides WayStation guests a more convenient way to seek our services than using the ORT app. We are using a WayStation Guest, Roy Hirsch, as a stipended volunteer driver. He makes 10 trips weekly and keeps the bus gassed up and cleaned up - all for $115 each
